Maybe I'll start of with my recent trip to
Marfa? I know, marfawha? It's a quirky little place in Texas, so close to the Mexican border that I could actually see Mexico and got to greet a border patrol man at one point. A super small town with the most delightfully slow pace of life, the most gorgeous and unique sites, artwork, history, and did I mention quirkiness? There's the
Marfa Lights and
Prada Marfa, both of which make you go, 'what?!' I loved it, all of it.
The best part of the adventure though was the reason I was there. 13 women photographers from all over the US, sharing our love, our passion, our friendships. It was an experience like no other. We started sharing our adventures on a blog. I'm humbled by the talent I was surrounded with. As I was dealing with a sick computer, my posts have been a little delayed, but I have photos to share in the coming days. It's fun to go back thru them even after we've left, it takes me back. You can view our adventures here:
And a little view of this crazy place called Marfa (click to see bigger):
I'll be posting more in the coming days with tons of photo updates (way behind on those, it's been a busy summer!), scheduling updates, and other exciting news of things I've been working on :)
Prada Marfa...hilarious. I'm glad to hear you had a great time.
