that we always seem to need a vacation from our vacations? Upon returning home, the girls, my husband, me, everyone got sick. And not only sick once, but multiples times with various ailments that didn't seem to be linked. We'd get one thing, get over that, then immediately get something else. So that explains my absence as I've been working diligently to get everyone healthy. Well, ok, I guess I couldn't really work on it as much as lay around and say, 'please, can we all just get healthy already?!'
Despite the miserable return, we had a great little vacation. The girls had their first plane ride (how cute are they in the photo below with the little hug and an ipod). We sadly didn't have any snow so we ventured off to the hillside where they had made some for tubing. I love this little tubing place. Their sign on the wall says, 'rules....you're not allowed to do anything that begins with "hey y'all, watch this!". I soooo meant to take a photo of it, and of course forgot. I do believe my sister in law snagged one for me though. Ha ha! Gotta love North Carolina.
And of course we had our photo session. Sadly, no snow on the ground that day, sniff, sniff. I had all these visions of us playing in it, snow ball fights, snowmen building, etc. I think the photographers did too. But they were champs about it and brought some fake snow for the girls to play with. We did have some lovely 20 something degree weather and I have to say that the
white box girls had no fear and were awesome to work with. Unbelievably my girls did great thru all of the cold too. Baby A had a meltdown or two, but would quickly recover. Have I mentioned how nerve-wracking it is to be on that side of the camera? I'm now just trying to pretend to be patient while I secretly stalk their blog hoping for a peek at my photos. I tell you this 'waiting on gallery' thing that we photographers do to our clients is torturous! But I know it will all be worth it :)
So that's the update on all of that. I'll be back all this week to post the last little bits of 2008 sessions (sad, I'm that behind!), and get on the fabulous families I've been working with in 2009. It's good to be back :)
