tis the season

This time of year is great because I get to revisit and see so many clients that I've been working with for years.  Their kiddos are growing up, the sessions get a little easier, they make me laugh harder, smile a lot and absolutely make my day when mom tells me, 'they've been looking forward to seeing you'.  

These two were exactly like that.  They have a great brotherly bond, and I think we captured it pretty well.

the language of kids

It's a good thing that there is a universal kid language.  As long as you can make silly faces, crazy noises, and act a little goofy, they'll smile and think you're funny.  I'm sure most parents think I'm off my rocker when they see my antics.  But I'm not afraid to be silly, because it gets the giggles I love so much.  I love it when you can feel the laughter coming from a photo.  

The universal kid language came very much in handy with this session.  These two little cuties were visiting from France.  Mom spoke English, kiddos, not so much.  She'd translate when I needed her too, but for the most part, we were on our own.  I think we did just fine :)

how much difference 7 months can make.  February, she was a wee one.

you'd never guess

that she's just 13.  Not only beautiful, but so sweet and kind.  Mom wanted a session just for her (we had another a few weeks later with her twin sisters, that'll be in an upcoming post), and I love that I got a whole session with her one on one.  Sometimes there tends to be a gap in between getting photos done when they're kids, and then not much until they're in high school and graduating.  I think 13 is a fabulous age.

they must not know

The newborns don't know its the holiday season, so they just keep a comin'.  I couldn't think of a better early Christmas present than this :)

for all the moms out there

I realize that far too often, you're the ones holding the camera.  You're rarely in a photo and if you are, its one that your dear sweet husband took from the most unflattering position ever.  So most of the time I'll try to convince you to be in at least a photo or two (or ten).  Trust me, I know how it is.  All kids should know what we looked like as young beautiful mommas.  And isn't she a beautiful momma?  

And she makes some beautiful kiddos.

little one

She just recently turned one and is so sweet you wanted to eat her with a spoon.  I love how she teetered about as she's still figuring out the walking thing.  I love how her nose would crinkle up with she smiled really big.  I love how she'd pull her legs up when you lifted her in the air.  I love that her parents love her to pieces.  I love my job.

many minis

Its that time of year, the holiday mini's are in full force.  I love these sessions as its usually a time to do a quick little catch up with clients I've seen earlier in the year.  Short & sweet and so much fun!

Oh how I love thee.  A little fall fashion shoot to show off some of the new items they have.  If you haven't been there yet, you must go.  now.  They're located in the Baldwin Park Village Center at 4940 New Broad Street.  And she has a second location coming to the Dr. Phillips area.  Can't wait!

So this time of year usually means that blog updates are even fewer and far between.  I have loads to share, so it will all come in time.  Eventually I will catch up :)

I just had to take a minute to share these two though.  We had a beautiful evening on the beach and they were so much fun to photograph.
