This summer has been a bit crazy, I can only imagine what fall is going to be like, eek! (Yep, still hammering out that holiday schedule as I keep getting sidetracked by all of these beautiful newborns, hopefully this week it'll be done!). So back to the newborn, she was just beautiful. I drove down to Tampa for her session and the minute I walked in the door, a torrential downpour came down. So on a dark and dreary day, she slept all cozy up next to the window for me. I love the shadows that it created. Natural light can sometimes be a finicky thing to work with, but I just adore the ever changing circumstances it gives me.
It appears that my site was down for a little while on Saturday and some emails didn't go thru. If you haven't gotten a reply from me, I likely didn't receive it. So please re-send :)
Headed out of town again, I'll be back to work on Wednesday. I won't have my computer with me so all emails will have to wait until then. I will be checking voicemail periodically so if you *really* need me, try me there. Hope everyone has a great weekend! And since all text blog posts are boring, here's a little photo of my four year old... 'sigh' yes, she's four now. sniff, sniff.
Newborns. This little guy (err, big guy) was a dream. Slept like a champ and barely made a peep. I photographed his big sis as a newborn and she was much the same way, must run in the family. And such a delightful family to work with.
When you get several photographers together, there's no telling what we'll dream up. So when my friend and fabulous photographer, Stacy, found out she was pregnant with bebe #4, I told her I had plans for her! I said, "I'd love to get you on a bed... out in a field!"... she said, "I can make that happen". And she did, and I'm sooo glad she did. We shot all afternoon in all sorts of spots on this farm. It was fun, a photographers dream. Thanks for being such a trooper stacy, you're beautiful!!
I swear I've been getting emails inquiring about the fall/holiday schedule since last year's fall/holiday season. And it is finally about that time! Thank you so much for everyone being patient while I sorted the schedule out, its just about ready. I will be doing mini-sessions again this year as well as my regular sessions in which we can incorporate your holiday photos. It all depends on whether you need just a few updated photos, or its time for a complete session. Within the next two weeks I'll be opening up scheduling and will post the mini-session schedule here. So get your typing and dialing fingers ready, because once its booked up, its booked. Typically the fall/holiday schedule is booked within a few weeks of announcing it. Please note that all sessions requiring holiday delivery must be completed prior to November 1st, orders must be in by November 7th. I will still be having sessions in November and December, but those are not guaranteed holiday delivery and will likely receive final print delivery after January 1st. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to send me an email at amy@amysmithphoto.com. Thanks!
Everyday I'm reminded just how lucky I am to be doing what I love. I meet the most amazing families who welcome me into their lives and allow me to capture the beauty that is them. Even when things get a little crazy around here, I wouldn't trade it for the world. To wake up every morning, head off with my camera, and come back with images of some of the most beautiful families, kids and sweet sweet babies, I couldn't ask for anything more. This sweet family was a perfect example of why I love what I do.
I'll admit that I'm slightly addicted to lulu belle... and not just because they display my work there :) I can't stop in without getting sidetracked by the exceedingly adorable clothes and other items they have to offer. In case you need proof, check out how fabulous the store is.
